PHARMAssistTM In-Store
The complexity and confusion of products in the over-the-counter product category make it a natural fit for applying Evincii's Search Engine in the StoreTM. PHARMAssist In-Store recommends and locates the correct over-the-counter products in seconds, and enables both retailers and manufacturers to provide an excellent shopper experience and increase their sales. The Knowledge Web and Search-by-Intent technologies have been applied to PHARMAssist to find precisely the right over-the-counter drug products that meet a consumer's specified symptoms and conditions. PHARMAssist draws from Evincii's comprehensive medical / disease Knowledge Web that contains the symptoms, conditions, and treatments for over 2,000 diseases. It adheres to pharmacological standards and is also reviewed by Evincii's board of registered pharmacists.
PHARMAssist presents a set of symptoms from which the consumer selects. As specific symptoms are selected, the system deduces what other symptoms can coexist, prompting the user to select all symptoms present. PHARMAssist then guides the consumer to enter other conditions, including age group and any special considerations that might impact the proper recommendation, such as pregnancy, diabetes, or ingredient allergies. PHARMAssist then identifies all applicable products in a specific store, eliminating products having ingredients which are not required and / or are precluded due to a consumer's special conditions. The resulting recommendation contains all products that precisely meet the consumer's selections and none that do not. The interactive, multimedia user interface has been developed to engage and guide consumers who may not be computer savvy and has already provided over one million user recommendation sessions.
